If you want to run the game as a door, follow the instructions below:

that will load DOORWAY for you. Copy that batch file to the directory
where all of your door batch files are.
Next, type in: SETUP.EXE and press the ! key to activate the game
as a DOOR, exit the setup program, then type BLEED204.EXE.

Setting up the program & how to reset:
Setting up the program is easy. Just run SETUP.EXE in the directory
The Bleeding Cave II is in.
Resetting the program will delete all the player's names out of the
PLAYERS.DAT file, except for JASON KNOWLES, and (if registered),
will eliminate all the notes written by users, except one note
saying to call our BBS. Anyway, to reset the program, you must
type RESET.EXE in the directory The Bleeding Cave II is in.
C h a p t e r T h r e e :
How to play:
When playing the game, just press a number for your selection.
Here is an example:
Suddenly, you see a monster!!! What do you do?
1) Shoot it
2) Punch it
3) Run
Here, you would press either number 1 or 2 or 3. Whatever *YOU* think is
right. Should you shoot it, punch it, or run? It's your choice!

Newsletter About Game:
This game almost didn't get released, due to the loss of the registration
code, as well as all the source codes! This is how it happened. September
28, 1996, I was about to release the game. I had everything ready to go.
Here's the BIGGEST mistake I made. I put the registered version of The
Bleeding Cave, as well as all of the source codes, on a bad disk! It was
the first time I saved a program only in one place, and it was the first
and only time I lost my source codes for a program as well as the
registered version. I tried using the UNDELETE command, but that program
couldn't find my lost files. About to give up, I called The Belly of the
Beast (bbs number listed below), told the Sysop what happened to me, and
asked him if he knew how to recover files other than using the UNDELETE
command. He told me to use a utility called UNERASE in Norton Utilities.
I tried the program over and over again to recover my files, but whenever
I saw my lost files, the files were in too poor condition to be recovered.
Thanks to the SysOp of The Belly of the Beast, I knew I was very close
to releasing the game, and I knew I *COULDN'T* give up! You could say
the SysOp of that board gave me confidence that I could finish the game!
Day after day, I sat there on my computer, trying to think of ways where
I could change the program to make it function as a registered program.
Many ideas came to mind, but none worked. However, with the "confidence"
the SysOp of The Belly of the Beast gave me, I kept trying. Finally, I
decided, I *MUST* release the program, soon. I knew I couldn't wait any
longer. The program was due about 2 or 3 days ago, so I knew I *HAD* to
release it, with or without the registered game. I kept trying, but no
more ideas came to mind, so I decided, "Hey, I guess I can't think of
any ways to get the game up in running, so I guess I'll make the game
freeware." So, that is how this game almost didn't get released.
